VIDEO: Railway crossing at Kandana proves deadly

One person has died after a Landmaster two wheeled tractor collided with a speeding train engine in the Kandana, Weligampitiya area. The driver of the tractor had been killed on the spot following the accident, which occurred around 4pm today on the Colombo-Chilaw railway track.
According to the Ada Derana correspondent in the area the tractor that had arrived along the Ganemulla main road had attempted to cross the track ignoring the closed gate of the railway crossing.
It has been reported that another individual had died yesterday (February 26) on the same spot after being hit by a speeding train while a woman had also met with an accident in the exact location two weeks back.
