PCH expands in Southern Province with new branch office in Galle

Galle, Sri Lanka, March 2011: As part of its aggressive expansion plan across the country, PCH opened its 18th regional branch at Wakwella Road, Galle recently.


The purpose of the branch is to provide a full range of IT related products, inclusive of world renowned Brands to residents of the Southern Province. The Branch was ceremoniously opened by the Mayor of Galle, Mr. Methsiri De Silva. Chairman and the Board of Directors of the Galle Chamber of Commerce also participated at the event along with other dignitaries.


Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mayor of Galle, Methsiri De Silva said, “This is a great opportunity for the people of Galle to avail themselves of branded quality products that will enhance their business activities. We appreciate the fact that a reputed company like PCH has expanded its business here and believe that it will improve the lives of these entrepreneurs.”


Also speaking at the event, Chairman of PC House PLC Mr. S.H.M. Rishan said, “Galle is a key market for us hence we felt the necessity for a branch here. This is the 3rd branch in the Southern Province.”


The other two branch offices are in Matara and Hambantota. The opening of the Galle branch ensures that all major cities within the Southern Province are covered catering to all segments such as retail, corporate and public.


“Economic progress and commercial activity is at a peak in this province and hence we are now able to cater to the growing demand,” added Rishan.


To coincide with the opening of the new branch, PC House will be conducting a PC Clinic for a duration of two weeks from the date of opening. Steered by a team consisting of well experienced and trained technical experts, the PC Clinic will offer comprehensive on-site services to resolve technical issues which occur for warranted and unwarranted products. Customers will also be able to benefit through special offers on a selected range of products and services such as Anti-virus, UPS, Power Supply Units, Genuine Windows 7 Licenses.


PCH is the new corporate brand identity for PC House PLC which was recently listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange. The new brand identity reflects the change from a family owned business to a public company with a vision to be the benchmark for ICT in Sri Lanka.


PC House was incorporated as a limited liability company in the year 2000, after having commenced business in 1997 and became PCH PLC. Its Board of Directors consists of Messrs S.H.M. Rishan, Mangala Boyagoda, Sarath Wikramanayake, Modarage Thilakasiri, Shanti Kumar Nadarajah, Kuvera de Zoysa and Mrs. Sharmila Rishan.
