Lanka-Kenya match costs Indian woman heftily

The Sri Lanka-Kenya World Cup cricket match proved detrimental for a 27-year-old Indian woman residing in Dindoshi. Aparna Mangera, a yoga instructor, was so engrossed in the Sri Lanka-Kenya match that a robber managed to break into her house at Sangam building in Kurar without her hearing anything.
The incident took place around 4.30 pm on Tuesday when Aparna was so absorbed
in the game that she did not hear the front door being forcibly opened.
Once inside, the robber locked the entrance, brandished a handgun and
threatened to kill her if she raised an alarm.
According to
the police, the robber gaggedthe woman and fled with a gold chain, two diamond
rings and cash, worth Rs. 1 lakh.
S Marathe, police inspector of Kurar police station said, “We have registered a
complaint and have prepared a sketch of the accused based on the description
given by the victim.”
“The girl’s father, who runs a yoga centre, and mother had gone outside when
the incident took place,” he informed, NDTV reports.
