Could have saved VP, if stayed with TNA

Anadasangari says that he was never antagonistic towards LTTE leader Prabhakaran. Speaking to Indian media the TULF leader had said that all he intended was to get him (VP) to the right path and away from the wrong one he was on.

I had put in a great deal of effort for that, the former Parliamentarian expressed.

He revealed that he had written to Prabhakaran before the latter’s death stating that, this war can never be won and that the young lives lost in vain dreaming of a new state Tamil Eelam have to be used for the benefit of the country.

Tamil United Liberation Front (TULF) Leader V. Anadasangari further stated that it would probably have been possible to save Velupillai Prabhakaran from the wrong path, had he (Anadasangari) stayed in the Tamil National Alliance (TNA).
