Black Caps win toss, bat against Pakistan

New Zealand won the toss and elected to bat against Pakistan in their Group A World Cup encounter held at Pallekele. The match is the first ODI played at the venue in Kandy. 

New Zealand batsman Jesse Ryder is set to miss tonight’s Cricket World Cup clash with Pakistan due to a stomach bug.
