Jaffna Student accidentally shot by Soldier

A student was taken to hospital for injuries he sustained after accidentally being shot when an Army soldier unintentionally fired his weapon, the Sri Lanka Army Headquarters stated.

 

The student who was shot in the Valvettithurai, Thondamanaru area in Jaffna was claimed to be very friendly with the armed personnel of the area while the soldier who was involved in the incident has been taken into custody by the Military Police.
