Muslim man in Jaffna begins fast unto death

A Muslim man who was resettled in a village named Thommaveli in Jaffna has started a fast unto death, protesting the lack of interest shown by the government and other organizations in fulfilling the needs of the people.

 

The 44 year old R. Naushard stated that despite a two day protest held by the Muslim community in his village, no response had been given regarding their demands for better facilities which compelled him to begin the fast unto death.
