35-40% voter turnout so far – Elections Secretariat

Approximately 35 - 40% voter turnout so far has been recorded island wide, an Elections Secretariat official told Ada Derana a short while ago. He added that approximately 15 incidents of election violence have been reported so far.
He added that investigations have been launched regarding the complaints. However during investigations some alleged incidents were discovered to be false claims, he said.
