Third round of talks between the govt. and TNA yesterday

The government and the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) met for its third round of talks yesterday (March 18) where the resettlement of IDPs and the information relating to detainees were among the matters discussed, Secretary of the Committee on Long Term Reconciliation, Sajin de Vaas Gunawardena stated.
“It was agreed that this information would be available to the next of kin and that the date on which the facility becomes fully operative will be made known,” he stated.
The two sides also proceeded to discuss appropriate constitutional arrangements to meet with the expectations of all the people in the country while it was also agreed that the dialogue between the two parties should continue.
