Pakistan end Australia’s unbeaten run

Pakistan beat Australia by four wickets at the R. Premadasa stadium in their final World Cup Group match ending Australia’s long unbeaten run in World Cups. Australia posted a weak total of 176 while Pakistan made hard work of it as Umar Akmal was not out on 42 and Asad Shafiq top scored with 46.

 

Pakistan got off to a shaky start losing Mohammed Hafeez early while they kept losing wickets at regular intervals as Brett Lee picked up four wickets for 28 off 8 overs.
