Pakistan beat West Indies by 10 wickets in the first World Cup quarter-final match played at Dhaka a short while ago after the Windies posted a weak total of 112 runs. The Pakistani openers got there with 175 balls remaining as Mohammed Hafiz scored 61 and Kamran Akmal scored 47.
The West Indies won the toss and elected to bat earlier on in the day but were cleaned out for 112 by a potent Pakistani bowling attack with Captain and the tournament’s leading wicket taker Shahid Afridi picking up four wickets for 30 runs.
