CPC suspends heavy fuel supply to Yugadanavi Power Plant

Minister of Petroleum Industries, Susil Premajayantha says that supplying of heavy fuel to the Kerawalapitiya Yugadanavi Power Plant has been suspended due to the Power Plant not settling the arrears for heavy fuel acquired from the CPC.
The Yugadanavi (Kerawalapitiya) CCGT Power Plant owes the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) Rs.2, 800 million for heavy fuel attained, the Minister revealed.
He added that the Power Plant had been charged Rs.20 less than the fuel import costs per liter.
