UNP to name new National Organizer today

March 28, 2011   09:56 am

The working committee of the United National Party (UNP) is scheduled to convene today (March 28) at around 4.30pm at Sirikotha. Priority will be given to appoint a new national organizer for the party at today’s meeting, UNP MP Joseph Michael Perera said.

So far no UNP member had been appointed, after S.B. Dissanayake who previously held the post crossed over to the government party.

However, several party members are reported to have applied for the vacant National Organizer post already.
