The government has still not taken any measures to provide the people of the North and East with title deeds for their private properties even though they have been living there for years, TNA MP S. Adekkalanadan accused.

This situation is the reality for a majority of the public living in these areas, the Wanni District Parliamentarian pointed out while adding that he has informed in this regard to the Land and Land Development Minister, Janaka Bandara Tennakoon via a letter.

Selvam Adekkalanadan further expressed that these people have had to face great difficulties due to not having the deeds to their lands although they have occupied the ancestral lands for a long period.

He added that he intends to bring this issue up at parliament in the near future.
