CAA rejects milk powder price hike

The Price Control Council of the Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) has rejected all applications made by milk powder companies to increase their milk powder prices, CAA Chairman Rumy Marzook told Ada Derana today.

 

 

Earlier Milk powder companies requested the Consumer Affairs Authority to increase milk powder prices. The request made was to increase the price of a 1kg packet of milk powder by Rs.50 and the price of a 400g packet from Rs.20-30, the authority revealed.
