Postal workers end strike for New Year season

The Post and Telegraph Workers’ Union has decided to temporarily end the strike commenced by postal workers. The decision had been made taking into consideration the effect it would have on the public during the festive season, its President Navaratne Banda stated.


The Secretary of the Ministry has promised to provide solutions to the issues of the postal workers following the New Year season, he added.


Navaratne Banda further revealed that if solutions are not provided to their problems within two weeks they will resort to trade union action once again.
