Liquor shops to be closed on New Year

Sri Lanka Excise Department has taken steps to close down all taverns and bars for the Sinhala and Tamil New Year. Therefore all liquor shops in the island should remain closed on April 13 and 14, Excise Superintendent Prabath Jayawickrama affirmed.


He also emphasized that strong legal action will be taken against people who contravene.
