Illegal liquor dens raided, 4 arrested

The Walana Anti-vice Squad has succeeded in arresting four suspects following three raids carried out on illegal breweries in Yakkaduwa, Ja-Ela and Ekala areas. Police reported that 33 barrels of Goda and other equipment were also seized at the locations.


Meanwhile the Yatiyantota Police has raided an illegal liquor den at Matihakka, Yatiyantota and had apprehended an individual.


A firearm was also found in the possession of the suspect along with two shells.
