The government has still not received a copy of the report by the Panel of Experts appointed by the United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon, says Mass Media and Information Minister Keheliya Rambukwella.

Following a query by Ada Derana the Minister said that, even though it had been stated that a copy of the report will be forwarded to the Sri Lankan government, it has not been received yet.

The panel, established by the UN Secretary General to advise him on accountability issues with respect to the conflict in Sri Lanka, had handed in its report to Ban Ki-Moon yesterday (April 12).

UN deputy spokesman Farhan Haq had said during the daily briefing yesterday that the Secretary General is sharing a copy of the report with the Sri Lankan Government as a matter of courtesy before making it public.
