Assault victim succumbs to injuries

A person who was hospitalised after being assaulted with a pole has succumbed to his injuries today (April 17) at the Karapitiya Hospital. Police have arrested the man responsible for the assault and was presented at the Galle Magistrates Court today.
The assault had taken place over a personal feud between the two parties after which the victim, a resident of Akmeemana, was taken to the Karapitiya Hospital, Police stated.
