Party rivalries have to be put aside when acting in regard to the allegations directed towards the country through the United Nations Expert Panel’s report, expressed UNP Parliamentarian Dayasiri Jayasekara.

The United National Party (UNP) is prepared to work hand in hand with the government for this purpose, he mentioned.

Speaking during a press briefing today (April 19) the MP said “these allegations cannot be defeated through the protests and fasts carried out against the report by extremist and racist parties affiliated to the government.”

The government would have been able to escape from such foreign interference had they taken steps to provide a valuable solution to the Tamil public, he also stated.
