Ready to revive closed down hospitals

Health Minister Maithripala Sirisena points out that so far 97 hospitals, of which 80 are in North and East Provinces while the remainder belong to Hambantota and Kandy Districts, have been closed down due to the lack of doctors.
The physical and human resources needed to recommence medical treatments in these hospitals will be provided within the next 5 years, he stated taking part in an observation tour of the Kantale Base Hospital in Trincomalee.
The Minister also said that a program to develop regional health service establishments will be operational within the 5 years in order to reduce the overcrowding of national hospitals.
