The UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon appointed Advisory Committee preparing a report against Sri Lanka contravenes the United Nations act, says UNP Parliamentarian Wijedasa Rajapaksa.

In a letter to Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon he emphasized that Court cannot act against Sri Lanka regarding war crime accusations as Sri Lanka has not ratified the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.

Preparing of such a report may result in unrest among the public and disrupt the economic stability of the country, the MP warns that, if a catastrophic situation does arise in the future Ban Ki-moon has to accept complete responsibility.
