Lanka e-News Journalist kept in remand

The Pugoda Magistrates Court ordered Police to keep Lanka e-News Journalist Shantha Wijeysooriya in remand until tomorrow (April 28) without granting bail after he was arrested for publishing a slanderous article on the website.
The Kirindiwela Police conducted an investigation on an article that appeared on the news website on April 10 which the Bar Association at the Pugoda Magistrates deemed was slanderous to the courts.
