The Foreign Employment Bureau (FEB) has taken steps to calm the Sri Lankan labourers who have joined a protest in Jordan against four garment factories. The FEB states that it will send two representatives to Jordan to find a solution to the problem.

A representative of the Foreign Employment and Welfare Ministry along with Attorney, Harischandra Batawaka of the FEB will be sent for this purpose. The FEB added that the two representatives will be tasked with facilitating talks between the workers and the factory authorities to find a solution to the disagreements.
