Report false, no press conference scheduled - Arjuna

Former Sri Lankan Cricket captain turned politician Arjuna Ranathunga today completely denied media reports published claiming that he was scheduled to hold a press conference next week to ‘substantiate the match-fixing allegations made by his former team mate, Hashan Tilakratne.’

 

When contacted by Ada Derana, Ranathunga completely rubbished the report claiming that there was no plan to hold a press conference of such a nature.

 

Certain Indian and Local media today reported that Arjuna Ranatunga may come forward to substantiate the match-fixing allegations made by his former team mate, Hashan Tilakratne.

 

‘I am planning to hold the press conference in Sri Lanka next week and will reveal more details on this...’, he(Ranathunga) said exclusively from Colombo on Sunday, the report claimed.
