Over 600 innocent Tamil civilians were shot and killed by the LTTE during the final stages of the war in the Vanni region, former TNA Parliamentarian Sathasivam Kanagaratnam revealed to Ada Derana.
He expressed that, not a single civilian was killed by the Sri Lankan Armed Forces and that he was with the people used as a human shield by Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam.
Exposing the horrors of the war witnessed by him Kanagaratnam said, innocent Tamils were shot and killed like stray dogs by LTTE gunmen.
Furthermore he rubbished the report submitted by the UN Expert Panel as based on biased materials prepared by the remnants of the LTTE and challenged whether the panel, headed by Darusman could authenticate any of those allegations?
The former Tamil National Alliance (TNA) MP represented the Vanni electoral district from 2004 to 2010.
