Appoint Select Committee on KP - UNP

The United National Party (UNP) today requested Parliament to appoint a select committee to investigate the activities of Kumaran Pathmanathan alias KP. The request was proposed by UNP MP Ravi Karunanayake and had been signed by nine UNP MPs including Karunanayake.

 

The request filed yesterday mentions the fact that since KP is on the Interpol’s most wanted list for various charges including arms smuggling and criminal conspiracy among many reasons for the select committee to be appointed.
