Woman killed after lorry runs over motorbike

A woman was killed in an accident that took place in the morning today (May 6) in Gannoruwa when a lorry had run over a motorbike, the Peradeniya Police stated.
The incident occurred at around 6.20 a.m. today in which the 45 year old woman who was killed was riding on the passenger seat of the motorbike that was involved in the accident.
The motorcyclist was also injured in the incident while the lorry driver has been taken into custody and will be presented at the Kandy Magistrates court tomorrow (May 7).
