May 8, 2011   12:15 pm

The water supply suspended to several areas including Pannipitiya was resumed at 7am today (May 08), according to the Water Supply and Drainage Board. However, there could be a delay in the supply of water to certain highland areas, the Water Board added.

Water supply to all areas experiencing the water cut, in effects since 9pm on May 06, will return to normal by midday today, the Water Board assured.

Pannipitiya, Rukmalgama, Mattegoda, Pelenwatte, Kesbewa and the main road from Piliyandala to Boralesgamuwa had experienced the water shortage due to a damage in the main water line from Kalatuwawa.
