More rehabilitated LTTE cadres to be freed

Necessary arrangements are currently underway in order to reintegrate several rehabilitated LTTE cadres into to society to mark the 2600th Sambuddha Jayanthi, Commissioner General of Rehabilitation Brigadier Sudantha Ranasinghe said.


So far a total of 6539 ex-LTTE cadres have been reintegrated into the society after being successfully rehabilitated. Another 4360 individuals remain in rehabilitation camps, according to the Brigadier.


Several of those remaining are intended to be released on Vesak full moon Poya Day, he mentioned.
