Suspect in dog shooting arrested

Police have arrested a man who allegedly shot and killed a dog at a house in Chilaw. The arrest had been made after the owner of the dog had lodged a complaint with the Chilaw Police.
A firearm in possession of the suspect was also taken into custody by the police who stated that the individual did own a license provided by the government for the weapon, a 12-gauge gun.
