SLFP village organizer shot dead in Batti

The Secretary of the Anaipanthi Pillaiar Kovil who is also an SLFP village organizer was shot dead inside his house in Batticaloa today, the Ada Derana area correspondent reports. Unidentified assailants had come on a motorbike had shot him this afternoon.

The body is currently at the Batticaloa Teaching Hospital. Speaking to Ada Derana, Deputy Minister of Resettlement Vinayagamoorthy Muralitharan alias Karuna Amman said that the deceased was an SLFP village organizer.
