May 12, 2011   12:11 pm

Iniya Barrathi speaking to Ada Derana completely rubbished allegations made by UN Special Representative for Children and Armed Conflict Radhika Coomaraswamy. The UN today listed Iniya Barrathi faction of the TMVP, among parties which still recruit or use children, kill or maim children and/or commit rape and other forms of sexual violence against children in situations of armed conflict.

Barrathi who is the SLFP coordinator for the Ampara District said that Coomaraswamy’s reoccupation was to find fault with him. He claimed that he was not involved in any form of child kidnapping.
