Prime Minister to attend UN Vesak celebrations in Bangkok

Prime Minister D.M. Jayarathne left to Thailand today (May 13) in order to attend the United Nations Vesak celebrations to be held in Bangkok on the invitation of the Thai Deputy Prime Minister.

 

The Prime Minister will then embark on a tour of the Philippines on the invitation of the Vice President of the Philippines in order to discuss bilateral affairs. It is reported that the discussions will include a plan to begin direct flights between Colombo and Manila.
