The Tamil National Alliance (TNA) says it has still not received the solutions desired by the party even though 6 rounds of talks have been held with the government so far regarding a political solution.

However, we expect a positive response from the government regarding the suggestion provided by our party (TNA) concerning the devolution of power, Parliamentarian M. Sumandiram said.

Therefore we are looking forward to participate in future discussion with great expectations, he expressed.

He pointed out that the TNA delegation had agreed to consider a proposal by the government party during the last round of talks to appoint a senate committee.

First of all we expect the government’s response to the suggestions regarding power devolution, Sumandiram affirmed.

The next session of talks will commence on July 23 and we look to extensively discuss the proposed devolution of power during these discussions, he added.
