Motorcyclist dies following collision with van

A motorcyclist was killed after he collided with a van in the Kaluwalla area on the Galle-Colombo main highway today (May 17) at around 2.10 p.m. police stated.
Following the accident, the motorcyclist was rushed to the Karapitiya hospital where he died of his injuries. The post mortem has not been completed yet, authorities revealed.
The van driver has been taken into custody and will be presented to the Galle Magistrates court while the Galle police are carrying out further investigations.
