Five TMVP members arrested

Five TMVP members have been taken into custody over allegations of being involved in a spurt of shootings, kidnappings and corruption in the Batticaloa District, TMVP Media Spokesman Asad Mowlana stated.

Speaking at a media conference held today (May 18) at the party headquarters, he further added that the TMVP condemned these arrests and would take the matter up with the Police officials and the President.
