UNP not destroying documents of political revenge

Tissa Attanayake denounced reports that the UNP has taken steps to destroy or remove documents received to the party headquarters by victims of political revenge, stating that “no such decision was taken”.
In a statement released the General Secretary of the United National Party took responsibility to provide them with assistance under a future UNP government.
Party headquarters Sirikotha has received information regarding victims of various political vengeances since 1994 and measures have been taken to computerize the data in order to safeguard them.
The UNP Parliamentarian made these statements in response to a report that the UNP has opted to destroy documents received from victims of political revenge.
