The strike action launched by train driver’s assistants has ended following discussions between union representatives and the relevant authorities.

Train driver’s assistants had resorted to trade union action on May 19 due to the alleged assault of a fellow worker by a railway official.

It has been reported that the train driver’s assistants had opted to end the strike after authorities had assured that the railway official who had assaulted a driver’s assistant will be removed from his post.
