No injustice in pension scheme, says Lokuge

May 21, 2011   05:16 pm

The proposed pension scheme for the private sector would cause no injustice for private sector employees, Minister of Labour Relations and Productivity Promotion, Gamini Lokuge said.

The Minister rejected accusations that have been put forward that the government is forcing money out from the public and making pension payments through those savings.

Not only for the pension scheme, the opposition has protested against all actions taken by the government on behalf of the working people in the past, Lokuge claimed.

The government is always interested in making correct decisions for the betterment of the people, he added.
