All flights to Europe will depart as scheduled - SriLankan

May 24, 2011   04:18 pm

SriLankan Airlines announced that all its flights to Europe will depart at the scheduled time although contingency plans have been set up to fly to alternate airports in case Iceland’s volcanic ash clouds spread further into Europe.

Passengers bound for London, Frankfurt, Paris, Rome and Milan are advised to call the SriLankan Airlines contact centre on 1979 for information about their flights six hours before departure.

The airline wished to state that it is also monitoring the situation in Iceland closely and will be of assistance to anyone who wants more information on any flight changes.
