Katunayaka protestors released

The protestors who were arrested in Katunayake last evening were released today after questioning police said today. According to police further legal action against the protestors would be taken after investigations.

 

Yesterdat the Katunayake Airport junction on the Colombo- Negombo main road was blocked by protestors demonstrating against the proposed pension scheme for the private sector.  The protest was jointly organized by 24 trade unions from garment factories within the Katunayake Free Trade Zone (FTZ).
