Illicit brewer fined Rs.75000

The Minuwangoda Magistrate has fined a sum of Rs.75,000 from an individual, operating an illegal liquor brewery in the Heenatiyana area in Katunayake. The suspects had confessed to his crime before the court, Police said.
Katunayake Police had confiscated 10 barrels of Goda, 168 Drams of illegal liquor and various other instruments used in producing liquor during the raid carried out on the den.
