Infant killed in motorcycle-van collision

An 8-month-old baby was killed and his parents suffered major injuries following a traffic accident in Aladeniya, Katugastota.
Police state that the accident had occurred when the motorcycle, which the couple and the infant had been traveling on, had collided with an incoming van.
The parents of the baby boy are presently receiving treatment at the Kandy Hospital, according to police reports.
While the driver of the van has been placed under arrest, he is scheduled to be presented to the Kandy magistrate’s Court today (May 28).
