Katunayaka FTZ closed tomorrow - Govt.

The Government has decided to close the Free Trade Zone in Katunayaka tomorrow to establish industrial peace. Today Police used teargas to disperse protesters in Katunayake who had been protesting against the proposed pension scheme for the private sector workers.

This evening the SLFP Central Committee decided to temporarily suspend the proposed Private Sector Pension scheme.
