900 Tamil youth who were rehabilitated in Pompamadu and Punethottam rehabilitation centres will be reintegrated to the society at Vavuniya Urban Council ground on 5th June 2011.

The rehabilitated cadres have been given vocational training and education facilities to improve their skills and knowledge.

Arrangements have been made to ensure their release ceremonially at a function and to arrange a cricket match on June 4 to coincide the event.

The programme is aimed at joining the North and South on a permanent basis while completely freeing the Tamil youth from the war psychosis.

Youth Affairs and Skill Development Minister Dullas Alahapperuma, Rehabilitation and Prison Reforms Minister Chandrasiri Gajadeera and the parents of the rehabilitated youth will take part to this event, the Defene Ministry said.
