The Minister said government was taking all steps for bringing them back to Tamil Nadu, he told PTI.
Similarly, two other mechanised boats with eight fishermen on board from Rameswaram, who were also reportedly missing since yesterday, were traced to Kottaipattinam coastal village of Tamil Nadu’s Pudukottai district this morning. Their boats sank in the sea due to heavy winds.
In another incident last night, four fishermen managed to reach the Mandapam coast safely after their boat sank due to inclement weather. With this, nine fishing boats have sunk during this week.
