June 7, 2011   03:54 pm

‘The second reading of the private sector pension scheme draft bill’ was included in the parliament agenda today (June 07), according to Ada Derana Parliament correspondent.

“How can a second reading be included in the agenda when it has been officially announced by the government that the draft bill has been withdrawn?” Anura Kumara Dissanayake had inquired at Parliament.

The bill has been completely withdrawn, agreed Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva in response to the question while adding that, removing it from the Parliament agenda will be decided following the Party Leaders’ meeting later today.
