Uni Lecturers appeal court injunction

June 8, 2011   01:44 pm

The Federation of University Lecturers has brought forward a petition to the Appeals Court seeking to overturn the injunction directing university department heads not to accept the resignation letters of the lecturers quitting their posts.

After considering a previous petition filed by three students and in view of the wage crisis the Appeals Court issued an injunction preventing department heads from accepting resignation letters of university lecturers.

The petition filed by the Lecturers’ Federation will be taken up in the Appeals Court tomorrow (June 9) while the Attorney General and the University Lecturers have been summoned to Courts.
